A New Tradition

Abbie and I went to see the Nutcracker last weekend. Abbie saw a picture of it in the newspaper and started asking if we could go. I was a little surprised , especially once I told her it was not a movie, but real people on stage and there was no talking, just dancing. Well that last part sold her. She is all about ballet lately. When she grows up, she is going to be a doctor and a ballerina. A huge snowstorm blew in that morning making the roads awful and we had to go all the way to St. Paul. (ok, it's only like 20 minutes, but still.....did I say the roads were awful)? We went anyway, and had a great time. Abs was really into it and watched the whole thing, asking me questions the whole way through about the plot. We are definitely making this a new Christmas tradition! She even got to pick out a Nutcracker ornament for the Christmas tree on the way out. I love you Abbie!!!

And......We're Back!

Abbie had her last night of gymnastics this past week. She passed with flying colors and was recommended for the next level. She is really excited to start again in January, but is torn between doing gymnastics again or trying Ballet. I told her she can only do one, so we'll see what she picks. We are so proud of her.

And here are the most recent Noah pics. He already seems big to me. He has several outfits that he has only worn once or twice and already outgrown. Mike calls him a pinhead because at his two week appt. his head was only in the 8th percentile. We all think he is pretty cute!

More Baby Pictures

Here are a couple of the kids holding Noah in the hospital. They have been GREAT big brother and sister.

We are loving having this new baby in our lives. He is very chill and so far is a great sleeper. I am tired, and sore still, but I am so happy having my little family around me. Grandma Hale had to go home last night, and we are already missing her. Mike goes back to work on Monday and my mom comes on Saturday night. Can't wait to see you Nana!

Apple Farm and Halloween

Since I still have not had the baby, and as of Halloween day was still not dilating, we decided to have some fun. We went to a local apple farm with the kids and had such a great day. Sandra is in town, so it was extra fun having grandma to come with us. I know everyone is shocked that I put a pregnancy picture of myself on, but I'm at the end of my rope, and not thinking clearly....and I'm sure I'll regret it later.

Both of the kids wanted to get their faces painted. Landon actually wanted to paint his by himself, and was slightly annoyed that the lady had to do it for him, but he sat still and loved the rocket ship on his cheek. Abbie picked a butterfly if you can't tell. The body of it went down her nose.
I really think that if I hadn't put a stop to it, Landon would still be at that farm jumping off of these hay bales. He was really splotchy and red afterwards because he kept landing face first in the hay. It was pretty funny!

Grandma with the kiddos and the goats. Look closely...the goats were up on the roof of that little barn.

We carved pumpkins right before dinner and going out to trick-or-treat. They turned out pretty cute I think!

My kids decided to go "dark and scary" this year. We did a 180 from the princess days with Abbie's witch costume. She loved that her teacher didn't recognize her at schoool that day with her costume on. Landon was a bat and I loved that it was really warm for him that night. He thought he could really fly though.

The kids with all their loot. (Abbie had lost the wig by this point). We love Halloween!!!
